Sućuraj, a small picturesque tourist and fishermen's town and port, is the most eastern settlement on the island of Hvar (central Dalmatia, Croatia), and is also nearest to the mainland. The history of Sućuraj is very turbulent, of which there are many documents and monuments. Thanks to its position, the village has a coastline on both sides of the island. Everyone who finds themselves in Sućuraj and wants to spend the day swimming and sunbathing can choose one of the many sand, pebble or rocky beaches near the town. The sea is crystal clear and the temperature is pleasant for bathing from May all through October. Visitors can find accommodation in private apartments, holiday and boarding houses, rooms or a (motor)-campsite. There are several shops in the town and also restaurants and bars. There is also an elementary school, infirmary with the heliport for emergencies, a post office, hairdressing salon, currency exchange office, ATM, port authority office...

Sućuraj, ein malerischer Fischerort und Hafen, befindet sich ganz östlich auf der Insel Hvar (Mitteldalmatien, Kroatien) und ist dem Festland ganz nahe. Die Geschichte dieses Ortes ist sehr stürmisch, wovon viele Dokumente und Denkmäler zeugen. Dank seiner Lage hat dieser Ort eine schöne Küste auf beiden Seiten der Insel. Allen, die sich in Sućuraj befinden und einen entspannenden Tag am Strand verbringen wollen, stehen Sand, Kies und Felsstrände zur Verfügung. Die Strände sind ganz in der Nähe des Ortes. Das Meer ist kristallklar und die Temperatur ist vom Mai bis zum Oktober sehr gemütlich zum Baden. Den Besuchern stehen verschiedene Unterkunftsarten zur Verfügung, wie Ferienwohnungen, Ferienhäuser, Villen, Zimmer, Pensionen und Campingplatz. Sućuraj (San Giorgio), un piccolo e pittoresco villaggio turistico e dei pescatori è il più orientale paese di Hvar (Dalmazia centrale, Croazia) e anche il più vicino alla terraferma. La storia del paese è tumultuosa; ne parlano i numerosi documenti e monumenti. Grazie alla sua posizione, il paese possiede la riviera su ambedue parti dell'isola. Tutti quelli che soggiornano a Sućuraj e vogliono passare una giornata facendo i bagni e prendendo il sole, possono scegliere tra le bellissime spiagge di sabbia, ghiaia o di roccia. Il mare è cristallino e le temperature sono adatte per i bagni dal maggio all'ottobre. Si offre la sistemazione ai visitatori negli appartamenti privati, case, pensioni, camere e autocampeggi.
