Ons doel op lange termijn is om genoeg geld binnen te brengen om een fulltime ontwikkelaar te huren die al zijn/haar tijd kan wijden aan het project en een aantal administratieve, onderhouds- en uitgave-taken kan overnemen, waardoor vrijwilligers meer tijd kunnen spenderen aan de code zelf.

Rather, the team of Audacity lead developers will spend the money on items and services that benefit the project as a whole. Money that comes in to the project helps us pay for bandwidth and web hosting, development tools, and audio hardware. In the past we used funds from donations to purchase the Audacity trademark and to subsidize travel costs for Audacity developers to meet for a hackathon, and we plan to do more of these. Our long-term goal is to bring in enough money to hire a full-time developer who could devote all of his/her time to the project and take over some of the administrative, maintenance and release tasks, freeing volunteers to spend more time on code.

Die Audacity-Entwicklungsleiter geben das Geld eher für Gegenstände und Dienstleistungen aus, die dem Projekt als Ganzes zugute kommen. Einkünfte, die das Projekt erzielt, helfen uns, die Kosten für Bandbreite, Webseiten-Hosting, Entwicklungswerkzeuge und Audio-Hardware zu decken. In der Vergangeheit wurden Spendengelder dazu benutzt, das Audacity-Warenzeichen zu erwerben und die Reisekosten für Audacity-Entwickler zu subventionieren, die an einem Hackathon teilgenommen hatten, von denen weitere folgen sollen. Unser langfristiges Ziel ist es, genug Geld zusammen zu bringen, um einen Vollzeitentwickler anstellen zu können, der seine/ihre ganze Zeit dem Projekt widmen und einige der administrativen, Pflege- und Release-Aufgaben übernehmen könnte, was wiederum den Freiwilligen ermöglicht, mehr Zeit zum Programmieren zu verwenden.

Audacityjeva ekipa vodećih razvijatelja radije će potrošiti taj novac na stvari i usluge koje pridonose cijelom pothvatu. Novac nam pomaže platiti za mrežno posluživanje, razvijateljska oruđa i zvučno sklopovlje. Prije smo rabili darovana sredstva za kupnju Audacityjeva zaštitna znaka i za podupiranje troškova putovanja Audacityjevih razvijatelja koji su išli u hackathon, te kanimo to i u buduće napraviti. Naš je dalekosežni cilj nabaviti dovoljno novaca kako bismo mogli zaposliti redovitoga razvijatelja koji bi se mogao posvetiti pothvatu, te preuzeti neke administrativne zadatke, održavanje i objavljivanje (nadogradnji) kako bi se dobrovoljci mogli više baviti s kodom.

Az Audacity csapata a pénzt olyan célokra fogja felhasználni, amelyek az egész projektet segítik. A bejövő pénz a szerver bérlést és a fejlesztői eszközöket segítik. A projekt kezdetekor az adományokat abba fejtettük, hogy megvettük az Audacity védjegyet, támogattuk a fejlesztők utazási költségeit egy találkozóra, és szeretnénk több ilyet is szervezni.
