They are now over the worst and so they can follow their instincts and finally father some more children. The most common time for women to have a fling is between 30 and 40: during our long evolutionary phase, those were the final years of fertility. If not now, perhaps never again? Not necessarily, but a fling later on in life would certainly have lost its instinctive and originally intended significance.

La plupart des hommes ont une aventure alors qu´ils ont entre 40 et 50 ans. Avant cet âge, ils ont probablement rempli leur devoir vis-à-vis de leur progéniture. Ils ont "fait le plus dur" et peuvent suivre leurs instincts primaux afin de procréer de nouveau. Les femmes ont souvent des aventures entre 30 et 40 ans : c´était, au cours de longues phases de l´évolution, les dernières années de fertilité. Si ce n´est pas maintenant, alors jamais ? Bien sûr que non mais une aventure aurait alors perdu sa signification originelle et pulsionnelle.

Er ist "aus dem gröbsten raus" und sie können, ihrem Urtrieb folgend, endlich neuen Nachwuchs zeugen. Frauen erlauben sich zwischen 30 und 40 am häufigsten einen Seitensprung: In langen Phasen der Evolution waren dies die letzten Jahre der Fruchtbarkeit. Wenn nicht jetzt, dann nimmer mehr? Dies wohl nicht, doch hätte ein späterer Seitensprung seine instinktiv erspürte, ursprüngliche Bedeutung verloren.

Il peggiore è finito e possono seguire i loro istinti primari e finalmente procreare di nuovo. Le donne hanno spesso avventure tra 30 e 40 anni : durante le lunghe fasi dell'evoluzione, gli ultimi anni di fertilità. Se non è il caso adesso, forse mai ancora ? Ovviamente no, ma se no l'avventura avrebbe perso il suo significato originale.
