Every now and then a CD comes out that hits the sport, that soothes the soul, that restores your faith in the music as you thought it used to be or should be or could be. This is one such recording, and it follows two other collaborations of Peter and ronan, each of which is delightful in its own way. In this collection the pace is relaxed, the combined complimentary tones of pipes, fiddles and flutes are beautiful and mellow, and the playing is so full of subtle variation and shade as to keep the listeners on their toes - perhaps literally as well as figuratively.
