The event, inspired by the late fifties’s artistic movement, takes the shape of 6 x 20-foot containers (6 meters long), decorated inside and outside with works taking their inspiration from pop artists. The first of the containers, designed along the lines of Roy Lichtenstein’s work, gives general information about the Port of Bilbao. The second, with its homage to the artist Jasper Johns, addresses the port’s historic relations with the towns on the banks of the estuary. The third, reminiscent of the artist Frank Stella, demonstrates the connection of the port with the world. The fourth, dedicated to Andy Warhol, focusses on the port’s environmental policy. The fifth, decorated in the style of James Rosenquist, is destined to highlighting the services of consignment, stowage and maritime transport. Finally, the sixth, with a finish influenced by the work of Jackson Pollock, houses different kinds of goods typically to be found on port docks.

Cet événement, inspiré du mouvement artistique apparu à la fin des années cinquante, se déroule à l’intérieur de six conteneurs de 20 pieds (six mètres de long), dont la décoration extérieure et intérieure est inspirée de l’œuvre d’artistes pop. Le premier, caractérisé par le style de Roy Lichtenstein, offre des informations générales sur le port de Bilbao. Le second rend hommage à l’artiste Jasper Johns et aborde les relations historiques du port avec les communes riveraines de l’estuaire. Le troisième, qui évoque l’artiste Frank Stella, montre la connexion du port avec le monde. Le quatrième, dédié à Andy Warhol, est axé sur la politique environnementale du port. Le cinquième, décoré dans le style de James Rosenquist, a pour fin de montrer les services de consignation, manutention et transport maritime. Enfin le sixième, qui s’inspire de l’œuvre de Jackson Pollock, abrite différents types de marchandises qui transitent habituellement sur les quais du port.

Este evento, inspirado en el movimiento artístico surgido a finales de los años cincuenta, se lleva a cabo dentro de seis contenedores de 20 pies, (seis metros de longitud), cuya decoración exterior e interior está inspirada en la obra de artistas pop.
El primero de esos contenedores, ambientado en la obra de Roy Lichtenstein, está dedicado a ofrecer información general sobre el Puerto de Bilbao. El segundo, influenciado por el legado del artista Jasper Johns, aborda la relación histórica del Puerto con los municipios ribereños de la Ría. El tercero, que recuerda al artista Frank Stella, muestra la conexión del Puerto con el mundo. El cuarto, dedicado a Andy Warhol, se centra en la política medioambiental del Puerto. El quinto, con aires de las creaciones de James Rosenquist, está destinado a mostrar los servicios de consignación, estiba y transporte marítimo; y el sexto, que bebe del estilo de Jackson Pollock, acoge diferentes tipos de mercancías que transitan por los muelles portuarios.
