He held courses for/at WU Wien, Har­vard Uni­versity, the Swiss Fed­eral In­sti­tute of Tech­no­logy in Zurich (ETH Zürich), the Boc­coni Uni­versity in Milan, the Con­tinu­ing Edu­ca­tion Center of the Tech­nical Uni­versity of Vi­enna, Modul Uni­versity, the Uni­versity of Brat­is­lava, Bud­apest Uni­versity of Eco­nomic Sciences, the Poly­tech­nic Uni­versity of Bucharest, Kiev Na­tional Uni­versity of Eco­nomic Sciences and the Uni­versity of Ap­plied Sciences of BFI Vi­enna.
He held courses for/at WU Wien, Harvard Univer­sity, the Swiss Federal Insti­tute of Tech­no­logy in Zurich (ETH Zürich), the Bocconi Univer­sity in Milan, the Conti­nuing Educa­tion Center of the Tech­nical Univer­sity of Vienna, Modul Univer­sity, the Univer­sity of Bratis­lava, Buda­pest Univer­sity of Economic Sciences, the Poly­technic Univer­sity of Bucha­rest, Kiev National Univer­sity of Economic Sciences and the Univer­sity of Applied Sciences of BFI Vienna. In the spring terms 2003, 2004 and 2005 he was visiting professor at Bordeaux Busi­ness School. The courses held include fixed income valua­tion and analysis, port­folio manage­ment, CAPM and cost of capital, busi­ness valua­tion, valu­e-­based control­ling, capital budge­ting, real options, finan­cial manage­ment, finan­cial plan­ning, inter­na­tional mergers and acqui­si­tions, option pricing, cost accoun­ting, struc­ture and analysis of finan­cial state­ments, global finance, inter­na­tional finan­cial manage­ment, beha­vioral finance and beha­vioral corpo­rate finance. He gained addi­tional inter­cul­tural expe­ri­ence by teaching in the JOSZEF program (special program for young Eastern Euro­pean students to become future top mana­gers), in the CEMS program (Commu­nity of Euro­pean Manage­ment Schools) and in the Inter­na­tional MBA program of the Univer­sity of South Caro­lina. For his teaching perfor­mance in this Inter­na­tional MBA program he received Outstan­ding Teaching Awards for both the Finance course and the Global Finance I course. In 2009 he received the Award for Excel­lence in Teaching from WU Wien. In 2011 he obtained the Award for Inno­va­tive Teaching from WU Wien. More­over, he regu­larly provides Best Prac­tice Exam­ples to the Teaching & Learning Academy of WU Wien.

Kathrine Switzer wurde vor 50 Jahren ange­griffen, weil sie am 9. April 1967 als Frau beim Boston Mara­thon lief. Sie war gerade ein paar km gelaufen, als Jock Semple, der Co-Di­rektor des berühmten Laufs, plötz­lich hinter ihr erschien und versuchte sie aus dem Wett­be­werb zu stoßen. Am 17 April 2017, im Alter von 70 Jahren, lief sie den Boston Mara­thon zum 9. Mal mit einer Zeit von 4:44:31. Dieses Mal wurde sie mit Jubel statt Bestür­zung empfangen.
