He can also find the case law  of the Council Alien Law Litigation, consult the most recent statistics, read the CGRS staff magazine, apply for parental leave, and stay informed of changes at the CGRS.

Si l’État membre de l’UE confirme la prise en charge mais que le demandeur d’asile n’est pas d’accord, ce dernier peut introduire un recours auprès du Conseil du contentieux des étrangers (CCE). Il s’agit d’un recours en annulation non suspensif.

If the EU member state confirms the transfer, but the applicant does not agree, he may file an appeal with the Council for Alien Law Litigation (CALL). This is a non-suspensive appeal for annulment. The applicant must still travel to the country responsible for the asylum application, without waiting for the decision of the CALL.

Les traducteurs-interprètes travaillent au CGRA en tant qu’indépendants. Le CGRA les rétribue à la prestation. L’Office des étrangers (OE) et le Conseil du contentieux des étrangers (CCE) ont également recours aux interprètes dans le cadre de la procédure d’asile.

The CGRS uses the services of around 200 translators/interpreters, for a total of about 80 languages and dialects. They serve as interpreters for asylum interviews and work for the CGRS on a freelance basis. They are paid per assignment. The Immigration Office (IO) and the Council for Alien Law Litigation (CALL) also use the services of interpreters in the context of the asylum procedure.

Le CGRA reste compétent pour prendre des décisions de non-prise en considération des demandes introduites par des demandeurs d’asile provenant d’un pays d’origine sûr (article 57/6/1 de la loi du 15 décembre 1980 sur l’accès au territoire, le séjour, l’établissement et l’éloignement des étrangers). Un recours de plein contentieux devant le CCE est désormais possible contre ce type de décision.

The CGRS will remain the competent authority for decisions of refusal to consider the application for asylum for asylum seekers from a safe country of origin (article 57/6/1 of the Act of 15 December 1980 relating to access to the territory, residence, establishment and removal of foreigners). From now on, a full jurisdiction appeal can be lodged with the Council for Alien Law Litigation.
