Nous ne pouvons pas manquer la vue splendide sur la Baie de l’Abra depuis le mirador, près du Palais d’Oriol, ou pour les plus audacieux, la cime du Mont Serantes, qui en plus de sa vue spectaculaire, nous invite à parcourir ses nombreux sentiers, à découvrir d’anciennes fortifications, à participer à son traditionnel Pardon de Cornites (“romería”) et à admirer les nombreux oiseaux migrateurs qui chaque année sillonnent les cieux en quête d'un refuge plus tempéré.

In the past, a common sight in the biggest coastal fishing harbour in Biscay was the romantic figures of the sardineras (sardine sellers), who were immortalized in the popular song “Desde Santurce a Bilbao.” Nowadays, the remains of the town’s industrial past combine with modern and attractive leisure areas. You can still experience the delicious smells of the smoking grills, a real temptation for the visitor to taste the town’s famous sardines… or any seasonal fish grilled in the traditional way.

No nos podemos perder la espectacular panorámica sobre la Bahía del Abra desde el mirador que se encuentra junto al Palacio de Oriol o para los más atrevidos la cumbre del Monte Serantes que además de su espectacular vista panorámica, nos invita a recorrer sus numerosos senderos, descubrir antiguas fortificaciones, disfrutar de su tradicional Romería de Cornites y admirar las numerosas aves migratorias que cada año surcan el cielo en busca de un refugio más cálido.
