At the very end of Val Senales-Schnalstal, home of Ötzi the Iceman, at 3.200m a.s.l. you can find the only skiing area on a glacier in the whole territory of South Tyrol. Summer or winter, it does not matter, the Schnalstaler Gletscherbahn carries active excursionists and skiers up into the high altitude alpine landscape and never fails to impress with its 360° view of the Ortles up to the Ötztaler Alps.

Am Ende des Schnalstales, der Heimat von Ötzi, befindet sich auf 3.200 Metern ü.d.M. das einzige Gletscher-Skigebiet Südtirols. Winters wie sommers bringt die Schnalstaler Gletscherbahn aktive Wanderer und Skisportler in die hochalpine Berglandschaft und besticht durch die 360° Aussicht vom Ortler bis zu den Ötztaler Alpen.

Dalla stazione a monte della funivia si raggiungono facilmente anche le grotte di ghiaccio ed il luogo del ritrovamento di Ötzi. Le cime dei 3.000 circostanti sono un vero e proprio paradiso per Freerider e sci alpinisti, ed in estate si trasformano in stimolanti sfide per gli escursionisti.

In winter, besides the challenging slopes, a snow park and a sleigh piste, numerous refuges invite you to spend a little time tasting their gourmet produce on their beautiful sun terraces. The Caves of the glacier and the place where Ötzi, the Iceman, was found, are also easily reachable from the mountain cable car station. The surrounding 3.000m high mountains are a real El Dorado for Alpine skiers and free riders, during the summer months the mountain peaks turn into challenging summit destinations.

Im Winter finden sich neben anspruchsvollen Pisten, ein Snowpark und eine Rodelbahn; zahlreiche Hütten laden zu genüsslichen Momenten auf den Sonnenterrassen ein. Auch die Gletscherhöhlen und die Fundstelle von Ötzi sind von der Bergstation der Seilbahn aus erreichbar. Die umliegenden 3.000er sind ein Eldorado für Skitourengeher und Variantenfahrer, im Sommer verwandeln sich diese Bergspitzen zu herausfordernden Gipfelzielen.
