L'Orrido di Botri è un canyon, aspra ed imponente gola calcarea, con ripide pareti scavate in profondità dalle fredde acquee del torrente Rio Pelago; il canyon si inserisce in un paesaggio appenninico caratterizzato da ambienti rupestri ed estese faggete, dominato dalle cime del monte Rondinaio e delle Tre Potenze che sfiorano i 2.000 metri di altezze.
