The students have successfully represented Turkey by discussing global problems and offering possible solutions in four different commissions. The conference organization committee has stated that they were very pleased with the presentations and they would be inviting Izmir University of Economics to next year’s conference.

In the scope of EUA evaluation process an institutional evaluation committee has been formed within the body of the University. The duty of this committee is to prepare a self-evaluation report by benefiting from a widespread accession period throughout the university.

EUA değerlendirme süreci kapsamında Üniversitemiz bünyesinde bir kurumsal değerlendirme komitesi oluşturulmuştur. Bu komitenin görevi, üniversite genelinde yaygın bir katılım sürecinden de faydalanarak öz değerlendirme raporu hazırlamaktır. Değerlendirme sürecinin ikinci evresini EUA değerlendirme komitesinin 2009 Mart ayında Üniversitemize gerçekleştireceği birinci ziyaret oluşturacaktır. Bu ziyaret sırasında EUA değerlendirme komitesi, üniversite üst yönetimi, akademik/idari personel ve öğrenciler ile kapsamlı görüşmeler yapacaktır.

She’s said, “I’ve not entered a competition regarding architecture before. I’m not brave about competitions. One of my teachers insisted that I should enter this one. Clearly, I was surprised at the results. Even though I’ve had some knowledge about the projects of other universities, and even though there was a guest jury, we’ve been evaluated within our university generally. The competition committee has given us this opportunity. I can honestly say that it was an honour to receive this prize from such a precious jury. I would like to thank all my teachers who have taught me for four years.”

Yarışmaya tesadüf sonucu katıldığını ve sonucun kendisini çok şaşırttığını söyleyen Bezircioğlu, “Daha önce bölümüm ile ilgili herhangi bir yarışmaya katılmadım. Yarışmalar konusunda çok cesaretli değilim. Bir hocamın ısrarı ile yarışmaya katıldım. Açıkçası bu sonuç benim için de sürpriz oldu. Her ne kadar diğer üniversitelerin projeleri hakkında bir miktar bilgi sahibi olabilsek ve gelen konuk jürilerimiz olsa da genel anlamda sadece kendi üniversitemiz ortamında değerlendirildik. Yarışma organizasyonu bize bu imkanı tanıdı. Ve açıkcası böyle değerli bir jüriden böyle bir ödül almış olmak beni çok gururlandırdı. 4 sene boyunca emek veren bütün hocalarıma çok teşekkür ediyorum” dedi.
