A record from the second oldest civic market book of Český Krumlov informs us that in 1572 "Anna kanclířka", the wife of the Rosenberg chancellor Václav Albín z Helfenburka, sold this newly built house to Hans Strohschneider, known in Czech as Řezáč. In 1589 Hans Řezáč sold this house to a draper named Hans Andres. The surname of the new owner, who lived here until the year 1619, sounded like André. The next owner of the house, Jiří Pitsch, was also a draper. In 1654 the ownership was transferred to Jiří Köpfhamer, after whom Mariana Köpfhamer took over the house.
