Abstract: The Bank Group began lending for Education in the year1967 and loan approvals up till the, end of 1982 totaled FUA 186 million for 27 projects in the education sector, o these, the African Development fund (ADF) financed a total 22 projects which amounted to about FUA 145 million around 9 percent of all ADF approved loans.

The loan amount was rounded up from estimated costs equivalent to FUA 4.55 million. ‘Other Fund equivalent to FUA 10.59 million, or UA 9 75 million, were provided by the Government of the Gambia, IFAD, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Government of the Netherlands and the. World food programme (WFP). The financing plan at the time of appraisal, by component and donor; is shown in Annex 1. In 1986, a further financial input equivalent to FUA 0.47 million or UA 0.43 million, was provided by the United Support of Artistes for Africa (USAFA) organization.

Résumé : This Project Performance Audit Report (PPAR) reviews Jahaly-Pachar Smallholder Rice Project in the Gambia for which an ADF loan (CS/GAM/AGR/82/6) equivalent to. FUA 4.60; million, or UA 4 24 million, was approved in March 1982. The loan amount was rounded up from estimated costs equivalent to FUA 4.55 million. ‘Other Fund equivalent to FUA 10.59 million, or UA 9 75 million, were provided by the Government of the Gambia, IFAD, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Government of the Netherlands and the. World food programme (WFP). The financing plan at the time of appraisal, by component and donor; is shown in Annex 1. In 1986, a further financial input equivalent to FUA 0.47 million or UA 0.43 million, was provided by the United Support of Artistes for Africa (USAFA) organization.
