"Das Weiterspinnen der 500 jährigen Baukultur und der Geschichte des Grünen Baumes war die Grundlage für die Entwurfsarbeiten an diesem Projekt. Das eigentlich Interessante und die große Herausforderung war aber die Verknüpfung von Geschichte und Gegenwart direkt am Bau, das Zusammenbringen von Altem Gemäuer mit zeitgemäßem Handwerk, wodurch auch der einzigartige Charme des Hauses erhalten bzw. erneuert wurde."

"It's a wonderful task for an architect to be able to design historic places like this guesthouse. An old and unused building can be regarded as a text fragment waiting to be completed. In addition to the careful restructuring of old rooms, we studied the historic traces of the house and therefore newly interpreted former usage and rituals.

“Lo sviluppo della cultura architettonica antica di 500 anni e della storia dell’Albero Verde è stato alla base del progetto e della sua esecuzione. L’aspetto più interessante e la sfida maggiore è stato però creare una congiunzione fra passato e presente direttamente nella costruzione, ovvero unire l’antica muratura con l’artigianato moderno riuscendo a mantenere e, contemporaneamente, a rinnovare l’ineguagliabile fascino dell’edificio.”
