Sur le côté étroit à l'ouest, la tonnelle des chanteurs est séparée du reste de la pièce par des marches et une arcade à trois colonnes; au dessus se trouve une petite estrade. Les peintures de la salle n'illustrent pas le tournoi des chanteurs, mais la légende de Parsifal et du Saint Graal.

On the short, western side is the Singers' Bower, separated from the rest of the room by steps and three arcades, and with a small gallery above it. The murals in the hall do not however deal primarily with the Singers' Contest but with the saga of Parzival and the Holy Grail. The bower, which resembles a stage, is painted with a forest scene - the sacred forest that surrounds the Castle of the Holy Grail. Parzival's son is the "Swan Knight" Lohengrin, with whom the picture cycle ends. Depicted on the high coffered ceiling are the signs of the zodiac.

Sulla parete occidentale, più corta, il pergolato dei cantori è separato da scalini e da tre ordini di colonne dal restante spazio, al di sopra del quale si trova una piccola tribuna. Il programma figurativo della sala mostra tuttavia in particolare non il certame dei cantori, bensì la saga di Parsifal e del Santo Graal. La pergola a mo' di palcoscenico è dipinta con un paesaggio silvano - la sacra foresta intorno alla fortezza del Santo Graal. Il figlio di Parsifal è il "cavaliere del cigno" Lohengrin, col quale si conclude anche il ciclo pittorico. L'alto soffitto a cassettoni riproduce i segni dello zodiaco.
