Mae’r gyrwyr yn cysylltu’n uniongyrchol gyda dynion y winsh yn nhŷ’r injan drwy system o fotymau a goleuadau sy’n gallu cychwyn, arafu a stopio’r tramiau yn unrhyw le ar hyd y trac. Gall y gyrwyr a dynion y winsh gysylltu â’i gilydd hefyd dros y ffôn.
The Attendants are in direct contact with the Winchmen in the engine house by a signalling system of buttons and lights to start, slow and stop the trams anywhere on the track. The Attendants and Winchmen can also contact each other by phone. The Trackman continually checks the track and can contact the Winchman by radiotelephone in case the trams need to stop. The upper section trams have brakes which can be operated by the Attendant to slow the tram down.
  History, Great Orme Tra...
Yn y flwyddyn hon pasiwyd Deddf Tramffyrdd y Gogarth a oedd yn nodi hyd a lled y dramffordd yn ogystal â phrisiau’r tocynnau. Pwrpas y dramffordd yn wreiddiol oedd i gludo teithwyr, nwyddau a pharseli i fyny ac i lawr y Gogarth.
The Great Orme Tramways Act was passed which laid out the length of the Tramway, the gauge and the fares to be paid. The original purpose of the Tramway was to transport passengers, goods and parcels up and down the Great Orme. The Tramway even had to carry coffins to the Halfway Station for burial at St Tudno’s churchyard. There was no concession for grief; mourners were charged full fare, plus 2s 6d (12.5p) for transporting the coffin!
