"Rydym ni’n edrych ymlaen yn wirioneddol am gael bod yn rhan o’r rhaglen hon. Dyma’r math o gyfle yr ydym wedi bod yn chwilio amdano, ond hyd yma roeddem ni wedi methu dod o hyd iddo. Mae’n rhagorol bod Cymru, o’r diwedd, yn dechrau helpu cerddorion fel ni i ddod yn fwy llwyddiannus."
"We’re really looking forward to being a part of this programme. It's the kind of opportunity we've been looking for but until now have been unable to find. It's great that Wales is finally getting round to helping musicians like us become more successful."

WOMEX 2013 yw’r cyfle gorau un a gafodd Cymru i arddangos ein cyfoeth o dalent cerddoriaeth byd yn rhyngwladol; fodd bynnag, dylai manteision WOMEX 2013 ymestyn y tu hwnt i’r digwyddiad ei hun. Mae hwn yn gyfle i gataleiddio datblygiad ein hartistiaid a’n diwydiant, fel y bydd y fantais o gynnal WOMEX yng Nghaerdydd ym mis Hydref 2013 i’w gweld ymhen pum neu hyd yn oed ddeng mlynedd.
WOMEX 2013 is the best opportunity that Wales has had to showcase our wealth of World music talent to the world; however, the benefits of WOMEX 2013 should extend beyond the event itself. This is an opportunity to catalyse development of our artists and industry, so that the benefit of hosting WOMEX in Cardiff during October 2013 will be felt five and even ten years into the future. With 14 months to go, music organisations across Wales are pulling together to prepare for the event and to put measures in place to make the most of this international world music market.

The Festival’s ambition is to commission new work and special collaborations in contemporary and classical music, opera, theatre, spoken word, talks and visual art. It aims to present the most exciting artists and bands on album tours and the summer festival circuit, with the objective of inspiring the artist as much as the audience. The creative learning programme will empower young people to find their creative voice and give them an opportunity to engage with artists.

Mae’r cynnydd naturiol y mae Save Your Breath yn ei wneud fel band yn cael ei drin fel cyfres o gyflawniadau. O chwarae yn eu hoff dafarn leol, Le Pub, hyd at glywed eu caneuon ar Radio One, maent yn gwybod na ellir cymryd unrhyw beth yn ganiataol.
The natural progressions Save Your Breath makes as a band are treated as accomplishments. From playing a show at their favorite local, Le Pub, to hearing their songs on Radio One, they know not to take anything for granted. They also refuse to place limitations on where they can go and what crowds they will play to. "If there’s a niche market of music-loving cricket fans that haven’t been rocked yet, we’ll find them," Tom promises.

Nod gwreiddiol SXSW oedd creu digwyddiad a fyddai'n cynnig y cyfle i bobl greadigol a'r cwmnïau maent yn gweithio gyda nhw ddatblygu eu gyrfaoedd, dod â phobl o ardal eang at ei gilydd a rhannu syniadau. Dyna'r nod erbyn heddiw hefyd, p'un a yw'n ymwneud â cherddoriaeth, ffilm neu'r rhyngrwyd. Ac Austin yw'r lleoliad perffaith o hyd.
SXSW's original goal was to create an event that would act as a tool for creative people and the companies they work with to develop their careers, to bring together people from a wide area to meet and share ideas. That continues to be the goal today whether it is music, film or the internet. And Austin continues to be the perfect location.

WOMEX season is fast approaching and we’re all busy in the office preparing. The development officers at Wales Arts International are currently reading through the applications they’ve received so far for their bursary to support artists and businesses hoping to attend WOMEX 15 in Budapest in October. They’ve also received several inquiries asking whether the deadline for the bursaries could be extended. As we’re very keen for as many of you as possible to take advantage of this opportunity we’ve decided, along with WAI, to extend the deadline to next Monday 27th July 2015.

Yn ystod y chwyldro diwydiannol, os mai'r Deyrnas Unedig oedd gweithdy'r byd, yna porthladd Caerdydd, a oedd yn allforio glo o'r Cymoedd i weddill y byd, oedd ei ffwrnais. Ymgartrefodd gweithwyr dociau a morwyr o bob rhan o'r byd yn Tiger Bay, a bu cymunedau sy'n cynnwys hyd at 45 o genhedloedd gwahanol, yn helpu i greu cymeriad amlddiwylliannol unigryw'r ardal.
The modern creative capital is built on a rich industrial past which influenced every corner of the world. In the industrial revolution, if the United Kingdom was the workshop of the world, then the port of Cardiff, shipping coal from the Welsh Valleys internationally, was its furnace. Dockworkers and sailors from across the world settled in Tiger Bay, and communities from up to 45 different nationalities, helped create the unique multi-cultural character of the area.

  Gwyneth Glyn ...
Mae Gwyneth yn byw yng Nghaerdydd erbyn hyn, a thri albwm yn ddiweddarach, mae cynulleidfaoedd ymhellach ac ymhellach o Gymru’n gwerthfawrogi ei gwaith wrth iddi deithio, perfformio a chreu gwaith deinamig ar y cyd ag artistiaid o dramor. Mae hi wedi bod yn archwilio cerddoriaeth a diwylliannau llenyddol tiroedd pell yn ddiweddar, gan wneud ffrindiau a sbarduno creadigrwydd ar hyd y ffordd.
Gwyneth now lives in the capital city of Cardiff and, three albums later her work is being appreciated by audiences further and further afield as she tours, performs and creates dynamic collaborations. Recently she’s begun exploring the music and literary cultures of lands far beyond Wales, igniting friendships and creativity along the way, deepening her music and the experience which informs her poetry.
  GAIR AM WOMEX ...
Er mwyn paratoi at WOMEX 14 rydym yn cynnal digwyddiad a fydd yn targedu i’ch helpu i wneud y mwyaf o’r farchnad gerddoriaeth byd ryngwladol hon a’r cysylltiadau yr ydym wedi eu llunio.   Iaith ...
Bu’r galw am lafur yng ngweithfeydd glo De Cymru yn y 19eg ganrif a’r 20fed ganrif yn gyfrifol am fewnfudiad o weithwyr o Loegr i’r ardal, a hynny yn ei dro yn arwain at ddirywiad yn yr iaith Gymraeg, er bod y Gymraeg yn para i gael ei siarad yn helaeth yng Ngogledd Cymru. Heddiw, mae diwydiant y gweithfeydd glo yng Nghymru bron wedi diflannu’n llwyr, ond fe siaredir yr iaith fel ail iaith yn weddol eang o hyd.
The need for labour in the South Wales coalfields in the 19th and 20th centuries brought an influx of English workers into the area which brought about an erosion of the Welsh language, though Welsh continued to be spoken extensively in North Wales. Today the mining of Welsh coal has all but disappeared, but the language is still spoken fairly widely as a second language.

Wrth deithio dramor ac yn lleol, mae’n hanfodol cael strategaeth. Ychydig o wybodaeth oedd ar gael am farchnad gerddoriaeth India ac mae’n anodd dod o hyd i artistiaid sydd wedi teithio yno i ofyn am gynghorion.
When touring internationally, like at home, it is essential to have a strategy. Little was known about the Indian music market and it’s hard to find artists who have toured there for advice.
  Darganfod Cymru ...
"Mae Cymru yn rhyfeddod, ac yn un hudolus; mae’n bryfoclyd, yn amwys yn aml, weithiau’n cythruddo rhywun, yn ysbrydoliaeth i lawer, yn anesboniadwy i rai, ond byth bythoedd yn ddiflas, hyd yn oed i’w beirniaid llymaf."
"Wales is a wonder, and a fascinating one: tantalizing, often ambiguous, sometimes maddening, inspirational to many, inexplicable to some, but never, ever to its sternest critics, never for a moment dull."
