James Kuptana: I think this was a pilot project so it was the first of it's kind. The Circumpolar Inuit aspect of the schools on board was to have exclusively Inuit involved in this program. So it was nice to see how these types of programs are evolving, to have more representation of Inuit and more inclusion of Inuit in science and in research projects that are happening predominantly in Inuit lands.

Avec le temps, j’ai appris à obtenir la consistance voulue pour une soupe si crémeuse que l’ajout de crème devient redondant. 8 tasses de bouillon de poulet (ou moitié bouillon, moitié eau), 4 tasses de légumes coupés et un passage par le tamis à la toute fin : vous obtiendrez une crème goûteuse et assez liquide. Ce qui séduit mon p’tit difficile, qui rejetait jadis les crèmes trop épaisses et trop proches de la potée de légumes.

"This is the 5th title for me, so being able to wear this jersey at the Tour de France to represent this is also something special. As for the parcours, it was flat and simple. But to me it was really good because it was kind of a last test prior to the opening time trial of Le Tour in Utrecht. After Dauphine I was a little tired, and didn't train as I wanted to. I didn't know exactly what I coud expect from this race, so I have to say I am satisfied with the feeling I had on the bike today. In the race I really felt good. I started quite strong because to me it was also a question of simulating the TT effort of Utrecht. Then, when they told me I had a good margin on the second intermediate point, I continued to push until the end to see how good the feeling really was. In function of Utrecht I think this was a really good race for both my legs and my morale. Also, when you are on your time trial bike for 45 kilometers, it always important to have a good setup. The setup of my Specialized Shiv was perfect. It will be the same as next week at Le Tour. Tomorrow I will analyze my effort again and see how I can further tune up my condition beforenext Saturday. That is why I won't ride on Sunday in the German National Road Championship. I want to do specific and quality training prior to the Tour de France."

“Ik ben blij met deze vijfde titel. Het is ook iets speciaals om deze trui te mogen dragen tijdens de Tour. Het parcours was vlak en simpel, prima als laatste test voor de openingstijdrit van de Tour in Utrecht. Na de Dauphiné was ik een beetje moe en kon ik niet trainen zoals ik wilde. Ik wist niet precies wat ik vandaag kon verwachten. Het gevoel op de fiets was goed. Ik startte sterk, want het was voor mij ook een simulatie van de inspanning in Utrecht. Toen ik doorkreeg dat ik een mooi verschil had bij het tweede tussenpunt heb ik doorgetrokken om te kijken hoe goed ik nu echt was. Het was een goede race voor de benen en de moraal. De setup van de fiets is erg belangrijk bij een tijdrit van 45 kilometer. Mijn Specialized Shiv was perfect. Voor de komende week zal die hetzelfde zijn. Morgen ga ik mijn inspanningen nog eens analyseren en zien hoe ik mijn conditie nog verder kan aanscherpen voor zaterdag. Daarom rijd ik geen wegkampioenschap, maar doe specifieke training richting de Tour”, aldus Martin.
