Toutefois, la ressource la plus utile que j’ai pu trouver à la bibliothèque a été l’outil en ligne « Press Display ». Cet outil permet aux utilisateurs d’accéder aux principaux journaux provenant du monde entier et, non seulement de lire les articles, mais aussi de les écouter. Cela a été pour moi une excellente façon d’enrichir mon vocabulaire et, par la même occasion, d’habituer mes oreilles à la prononciation et aux intonations de la langue française. Les ressources d’apprentissage interactif de Campusdirect5 se sont également avérées très utiles.

Den Stoff der Innenjacke wollte ich gerne etwas weniger gleichmäßig färben. In meiner Kindheit in den 1980er Jahren hat meine Mutter aus alten Baumwoll-Laken Spieltücher für uns genäht und gebatikt. Mit diesen Tüchern spielen heute ihre Enkel, denn sie sind immer noch wunderschön. Dafür hat sie die Tücher unordentlich zusammengeknautscht, in einen Eimer mit Färbemittel gelegt und während des Färbevorgangs nicht bewegt. Das gleiche Vorgehen habe ich für die Färbung des Baumwollsatins genutzt, mit dem Unterschied, dass ich im Topf auf dem Herd gefärbt habe, um die Temperatur konstant bei etwa 98°C halten zu können. Auch hier sind zwei Durchgänge nötig, damit der Stoff auf die Färbung vorbereitet wird. Nachdem der Stoff nun gefärbt, gewaschen und getrocknet war, habe ich ihn bedruckt. Dafür habe ich mir in einem kleinen Laden in unserer Altstadt indische Holzstempel gekauft, deren Motive, wie ich finde, so wunderbar zu den Natur- und Pflanzenfarben von Livos passen. Die TOGIS Textildruckfarben habe ich miteinander vermischt, damit sie auf dem dunklen Stoff gut sichtbar sind. Anschließend habe ich einen Schwamm mit der Farbe getränkt und als Stempelkissen für die Holzstempel genutzt. Mit einem Lineal und Schneiderkreide habe ich mir Linien auf dem Stoff vorgezeichnet und anschließend meine ganz persönliche Interpretation von Pflanzenfarben gedruckt.

Intéressant, évidemment, mais plus commun. À mes débuts, lors d’une de mes premières présentations en classe, j’ai sorti un ouaouaron pour le présenter aux enfants. J’ai obtenu une réaction aussi forte que si j’avais montré un lion ou un éléphant! Les jeunes de la ville sont super intéressés par la nature, mais n’ont pas toujours l’occasion de la découvrir. Leur offrir l’occasion de créer un lien avec la faune et la nature, c’est incroyable. On a d’ailleurs souvent ce même genre de réaction avec les adultes. Ce sont des petits moments précieux!

À peine froissé alors qu’il était malmené en petite boule dans mes bagages, il a ensuite accompli son rôle de me protéger de la pluie. Plus bas, il faisait trop chaud, suant plus à l’intérieur qu’autre chose et il valait mieux se laisser rafraîchir par la pluie amazonienne, mais de retour dans les montagnes équatoriennes, la pluie continuera, et je serai content d’être protégé de ce petit vent andin frisquet.

'Zijn' Mayotte verkeert van alle eilanden misschien nog wel in de grootste identiteitscrisis, denkt Djailani. Toen de rest van de Comoros- eilanden in 1974 onafhankelijk werd bleef Mayotte als overzees gebiedsdeel bij Frankrijk horen. "We hebben euro’s, we eten camembert; je zou bijna vergeten dat we bij Afrika horen. En het lijkt of Afrika ons ook vergeet. We hangen er maar een beetje bij." Zijn aanwezigheid op Poetry Africa betekent dan ook veel voor Djailani. "De eilanden in de Indische Oceaan worden vooral gezien als goede vakantiebestemming. Ook vanuit Zuid-Afrika komen er vliegtuigen vol toeristen. Ja, we hebben tropisch witte stranden, prachtige natuur en zon, maar we hebben ook een verhaal. Een literatuur waarin we ons verleden proberen te verwerken en zoeken naar wie we zijn. Ik woon en werk nu in Frankrijk. Niemand daar weet waar ik vandaan kom, terwijl het nota bene een provincie is van hun eigen land. Laatst pakte ik er een atlas bij om iemand mijn eiland aan te wijzen. Een Franse atlas met een grote overzichtskaart van de wereld. Mayotte stond er niet op."

Like all tracks, these were somewhat unique in that the front two of three toes on both feet were close together, leaving the third toe somewhat separate. Like a good novice, I took out my tracking kit, sketched these tracks and noted what seeds it was eating.

Je vous recommande de fabriquer ou d’acheter une série de fiches de 3’’ x 5” pour écrire les caractéristiques intéressantes de toutes les espèces animales de votre région. Bien sûr, si vous incluez les insectes et les oiseaux, vous en aurez pour un bon moment. Vous pouvez choisir d’inscrire l’information que vous voulez. Je suggère de consulter rapidement de trois à cinq livres et de noter ce que vous trouvez important dans chacun des livres. Je serais porté à inclure les caractéristiques évidentes : diète, habitat, région, progéniture, prédateurs, comportements, grosseur et poids, largeur de la piste, mesures de la patte, longueur de la foulée et trace courante ou modèle de démarche utilisé.
