In January, we received the news that „balancity“, the German Pavilion at the EXPO 2010 in Shanghai, had been distinguished with two iF communication design awards by the iF-Jury. One award was given for the overall pavilion design in the categorie corporate architecture, and one for the “sphere” in the energy source in the categorie interactive installations. Now, the ARGE German Pavilion´s enthusiasm for these awards has been crowned by the bestowing of an „iF gold award“ for „balancity“ at the IF awards ceremony.

Dass die iF-Jury „balancity“, den Deutschen Pavillon auf der EXPO 2010 in Shanghai, gleich in zwei Kategorien für preiswürdig befand, ist bereits seit Januar bekannt. Ein „iF Label“ für ausgezeichnete Gestaltung in der Kategorie „Messeauftritt | Ausstellung“ gab es für das Gesamtprojekt „balancity“ und eines in der Kategorie „Interaktive Installationen“ für das Herzstück des Pavillons, die interaktive Kugel in der Energiezentrale. Groß war die Freude bei der ARGE Deutscher Pavillon als dieses gute Ergebnis nun noch „vergoldet“ wurde. Der „iF gold award“ ist einer der wichtigsten Preise in der Reihe von insgesamt zwölf Auszeichnungen, mit denen das Projekt bis heute bedacht wurde.
