24-7 Spyz (pronounced “twenty-four-seven spies”) are a crossover band from the South Bronx, New York City, formed in 1986, originally consisting of Jimi Hazel (guitar), Rick Skatore (bass), Kindu Phibes (drums), and P. Fluid (real name, Peter Forrest) (vocals). The fact that they were African-Americans playing variations of heavy metal and punk along with rhythm and blues, soul, and hip-hop led critics to compare them to bands such as Living Colour, Bad Brains, and Fishbone. The band is best known for mixing soul, funk, reggae, and R&B with heavy metal and punk music.

JC Satàn is the meeting between Arthur (Polar Strong Meatards, Crane, The Angels, etc.), gifted child, and Paula la Trunioise, composer, creator and centipede. Already noted thanks to their first LP Sick Of Love (2010), followed by various collaborations with Le Pêcheur, Born Bad Records, etc., they come back in 2011 with the excellent LP Hell Death Samba which was a great critical and public success.

JC Satàn, c'est le rencontre entre Arthur (Polar Strong, The Meatards, Crane Angels, etc.), enfant surdoué prenant les caves crasseuses bordelaises pour cour de récrée et Paula la Trunioise, compositrice, dessinatrice, touche-à-tout, adoptée et chérie par la caste garageuse nationale. Déjà remarqués avec leur premier LP Sick Of Love (2010), suivi par différentes collaborations avec Le Pêcheur, Born Bad Records, etc., ils remettent le couvert en 2011 avec l'excellent Hell Death Samba que sera accompagné d'un important succès critique et public. Pour leur 3ième opus, Faraway Land, le groupe s'associe au jeune et talentueux label parisien Teenage Ménopause. On y retrouve évidemment ce qui fait leur marque: un univers sonique, d'une beauté troublante, entre garage rugueux et noisy-pop déviante. Comme à l'accoutumée le groupe refuse de sombrer dans la redite, sort de sa zone de confort, brouille les pistes, et s'en va lorgner sur les terres des Pixies ou encore celles de Queen of the Stone Age pour accoucher de onze pépites dantesques.

JC Satàn is de ontmoeting tussen Arthur (Polar Strong, The Meatards, Crane Angels, enz.), hoogbegaafd kind, en Paula la Trunioise, componiste, tekenaarster en duizendpoot. Al opgemerkt dankzij hun eerste LP Sick Of Love (2010), gevolgd door verschillende samenwerkingen met Le Pêcheur, Born Bad Records, enz., komen ze terug in 2011 met de uitstekende LP Hell Death Samba die een groot kritisch en openbaar succes werd. Voor hun derde album, Faraway Land, is de groep gelinkt aan het jonge en getalenteerde Parijse label Teenage Ménopause. We vinden er terug wat hen maakt: een sonisch universum, van verontrustende schoonheid, tussen ruwe garage en afwijkende noisy-pop. Zoals gewoonlijk weigert de groep in herhaling te vallen, verlaat het zijn comfortzone, verdoezelt de paden en gluurt stiekem naar de gronden van de Pixies of zelf van Queen of the Stone Age.
