Sono andato a Medjugorje, ho visto, sono stato convinto. Natanaele è sconvolto da quello che ha visto e ha compreso e proclama una delle più belle professioni di fede del Nuovo Testamento: Maestro,Tu sei il Figlio di Dio, Tu sei il Re d’Israele! (Gv 1,49). Egli è passato dallo scetticismo alla fede, perché è andato e perciò ha permesso a Gesù di toccare il suo cuore. Gesù gli dice: Vedrai cose maggiori di queste... Vedrete i cieli aperti e gli Angeli di Dio salire e scendere sul Figlio dell’Uomo (Gv 1,50-51): noi possiamo applicare queste apparizioni che avvengono nel mondo.

Already in the kindergarten, the doctors determined an illness of the retina, which is medically incurable. A metabolic disturbance, which led to it that, when I was 25, I could see only very little light. As the doctors were giving me very little hope to see again, I met a woman who told me: I am going to pray for you. I was about 15 when she prayed for me for the first time. I felt a very strong warmth, and I concluded that it could come only from God. This was for me the first experience that God was a living God who can hear our prayers, a God who loves us, and who is there for us.

U ovaj hodočasnički hod Crkve, naroda Božjega i cijeloga čovječanstva pozvan je svaki kršćanin. "Za kršćanina je hodočašće slavljenje vlastite vjere, kultna manifestacija, koju treba živjeti vjerno tradiciji, sa intenzivnim religioznim osjećajem i kao ostvarivanje njegova pashalnog postojanja" (Pellegrinaggio br. 32).
