Jenseits der Talfer entstand nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg Bozens Neu-Stadt, geprägt von Elementen des faschistischen Regimes. Imposant nehmen das Siegesdenkmal, das Gerichtsgebäude und die Badeanstalt Lido ihren Platz ein. Die Bauten präsentieren sich sachlich, modern, pompös und etwas kalt.

The architecture of any region tells its own story - as do the historical monuments and houses in the holiday region Bolzano and environs. The arcades are the iconic landmarks of the trading town of Bolzano. They were built for the protection of goods and characterise the picture of the town centre. The façades are decorated with oriels, paintings and Gothic and Rococo elements. On the other side of the river Talvera Bolzano new town was developed after WWI. It is characterised by elements of the fascist regime. The imposing victory monument, the court buildings and the Lido swimming pool are evidence of this. The buildings are all stern, modern, pompous and rather cold.

L'architettura di una regione ne narra la storia, come fanno i monumenti architettonici e gli edifici dell'area vacanze Bolzano Vigneti e Dolomiti. I portici sono il simbolo di Bolzano come città mercantile. Furono edificati per proteggere le merci e ancora oggi caratterizzano il centro cittadino. Le facciate delle case sono impreziosite da bovindi, pitture, elementi gotici e rococò. Dopo la Prima Guerra Mondiale, la città si estese al di là del Talvera, dove gli edifici si distinguono per gli elementi fascisti e si presentano in modo impersonale, moderno, pomposo e un po' freddo, come l'imponente Monumento alla Vittoria, l'edificio del Tribunale e l'impianto balneare Lido di Bolzano.
