Until recently, the Daetwyler Rubber plant at Malyn, northwest of Kiev, manufactured products only for the industry sector. As part of the strategic business expansion in the automotive sector, it was decided last year to intensify focus on Eastern Europe. This required establishing production capacity in the market itself, which would minimize logistics costs and gain other benefits. Such a location also allows long-term and cost-effective supply of the Eastern Europe, a market that is constantly growing in importance.
