siječnja 2001, oko mjesec dana nakon njegove smrti, i to je bilo prvo od nekoliko djela u koja smo bili uključeni, pomažući Župi pri obnavljanju najvažnijih liturgijskih predmeta: onih koji su vezani uz Euharistiju (kaleži, patene, misnice, ciboriji za pričest, križ na oltaru, svijećnjaci za oltar).

This is a beautiful story that starts with the Magna Monstrance, and in my understanding, the crown is the logical conclusion of it. The Magna Monstrance was dedicated to the memory of father Slavko Barbaric. It was commissioned in January 1st 2001, about a month after his death, and was the first of several works in which we have been involved, helping the parish to renovate the most important liturgical objects: those that are related to the Eucharist (chalices and patens, vestments for the priests, ciboria for communion, altar cross, candles for the altar). After all these commissions, came the crown for the statue. I like to imagine that Our Lady takes care that all things are prepared and beautiful for the liturgy of the Eucharist and the Adoration, and then the Lord Himself is happy to see His Mother crowned with a beautiful crown.

Das ist eine wunderbare Geschichte, die eigentlich schon mit der großen Monstranz begonnen hat. Die Krone ist meiner Ansicht nach eine logische Folge. Die Monstranz haben wir eigentlich dem Andenken an den verstorbenen P. Slavko Barbaric gewidmet. Sie wurde am 1. Jänner 2001, ungefähr einen Monat nach seinem Tod, bestellt. Das war das erste Werk, in das wir involviert waren, um der Pfarre bei der Anschaffung der wichtigsten liturgischen Gegenstände im Zusammenhang mit der Eucharistie (Kelche, Patenen, Meßgewänder, Ziborien für die hl. Kommunion, das Kreuz auf dem Altar und Kerzenleuchter für den Altar) zu helfen. Nach diesen Anschaffungen wurde nun auch die Krone für die Statue der Gospa angefertigt. Mir gefällt folgende Überlegung: Die Gospa kümmerte sich darum, daß alles, was der Eucharistiefeier und der Anbetung dient, schön wird, und jetzt ist der Herr selbst glücklich, wenn er sieht, dass seine Mutter mit einer so herrlichen Krone gekrönt ist.

Questa è una storia bellissima che è iniziata col grande Ostensorio, la corona, secondo me è la logica conclusione. Abbiamo dedicato il grande Ostensorio alla memoria di Fra Slavko Barbarić. Ci fu commissionato il 1° Gennaio 2001, a circa un mese dalla sua morte e questo è stato il primo di alcuni lavori in cui siamo stati coinvolti per aiutare la Parrocchia nel rinnovo dei più importanti arredi Liturgici: di quelli che sono legati all'Eucaristia ( i Calici, le Patene, i Paramenti per i Sacerdoti, i Cibori per la Comunione, la Croce e i candelabri sull'altare). Dopo ntutti questi lavori commissionati è arrivata anche la corona per la statua della Gospa. Mi piace pensare che la Madonna si sia preoccupata perché tutto ciò che è connesso con la Celebrazione dell'Eucaristia e con l'Adorazione fosse ben preparato e ora il Signore stesso è contento di vedere Sua Madre incoronata con una bellissima corona.

To je krásný příběh, který začal tou velikou monstrancí. Koruna je podle mého chápání jen logickým závěrem toho všeho. Velikou monstranci jsme posvětili jako památku na fra Slavka Barbariče. Byla objednána 1. ledna 2001, přibližně měsíc po jeho smrti a to bylo první z několika děl do kterých jsme byli zapojeni a pomáhali jsme tak farnosti při obměně nejdůležitějších liturgických předmětů - těch, které jsou spojeny s Eucharistií (kalich, patena, ciborium na svaté přijímání, kříž na oltáři a oltářní svícny). Po všech těchto objednávkách následovala i koruna pro sochu Panny Marie.
