However, it’s not just the old walls that attest to culture in South Tyrol: the Roman trade route Via Claudia Augusta leads through Val Venosta/Vinschgau and is a popular cycle path today. The Waalwege and Sentiero delle ore/Stundenweg are popular walking routes and the famous Passo dello Stelvio/Stilfserjoch panoramic road is one of the oldest roads in the Alpine region. The Passo dello Stelvio/Stilfserjoch National Park invites you on discovery tours through the magical countryside and in Lasa/Laas you can visit the quarry where the famous Lasa/Laas marble is mined.
