Die Wende im Weingut Pfitscher kam vor etwa 40 Jahren mit ihm: von Quantität zu Qualität, neue Lagen, neue Sorten, weg vom Literwein, Flasche statt Fass. Viele unserer Besucher haben ihn nie ohne die für Südtirol typische blaue Bauernschürze gesehen.

MUM MONIKA: Administrative genius, office oracle, heart and soul of the enterprise. It is pretty obvious that she feels in her element here and shows an interest and commitment in all aspects of the business. And it is also well known to all that she is often in control at the informal level. On the subject of the workplace, she becomes almost lyrical: “The view, the vineyards, the architecture– that is a feast for the eyes“. In the evening, Monika likes some peace and quiet, like many others who spend their days with people and do a lot of talking. When the chores are done, a restful evening is all she needs – perhaps with a glass of Matan for very special occasions.

La svolta nella Tenuta Pfitscher è arrivata quando Klaus, circa 40 anni fa, ha iniziato a dedicarsi ai vini: Qualità invece di quantità, nuovi vitigni, dismessa la bottiglia da litro, bottiglia invece che vino sfuso. I visitatori lo conoscono con il tipico grembiule blu indossato. Lo indossa con onore. Tra i suoi colleghi è uno degli ultimi. Se poi osservi il suo modo di parlare e le sue mani grandi e forti sai di essere nel luogo giusto.
