We have an Income Management Team working very closely with tenants to manage their tenancies. The team works diligently with any tenants who may be experiencing difficulties meeting their rent payments. Unfortunately this can on occasions be seen as the employees only being concerned about getting the rent in but their role is to help to prevent tenants from getting into arrears through early actions.

The Association sees itself as an important tool in seeking to address the housing needs of the Mid-Wales region for the foreseeable future. Shane Perkins, the Association's Chief Executive, thanked those who responded to the consultation and said .... "We feel these results reflect the public's general appetite to own their own home, but equally reflect the current affordability problems everyone experiences trying to get on the ownership "ladder" at the moment. This is a problem which is particularly acute in this area given relatively low salaries".

During the event the Welsh Government Cabinet Secretary Lesley Griffiths announced that a consultation will be launched in the new year on a ban on the third-party sale of puppies and kittens. The consultation will look to gather evidence on what stage the Welsh Government should intervene in large-scale breeding premises and address concerns about animal welfare.

The announcement of this nomination coincides with the first residents moving into phase two of the development, formerly the old Magistrates' Court. Residents who are looking forward to moving into their new home said: "The flat will makes such a difference to my life as I currently find it difficult to get out and about, it is so accessible and a lovely location by the riverside. The rooms have great character features including high ceilings and deep windowsills which I love. I am very much looking forward to moving into my new home in such a great location".
