|  | General meeting of the Network of Zene u crnom Serbia, held in the period of 8.2.-10.2., in Banji Vrujice in Serbia, was attended by representatives of women's organizations and networks from other countries in the region. As guests from the Croatian, Women's Network was represented by two coordinators, Nela Pamuković from the Center for Women War Victims in Zagreb Rosa and Mirjana Kucer of Domine. A major theme of the three-day meeting was the further implementation of the Regional Initiative for Women's Court, which, according to the conclusions of coordination should take place during the 16 days of activism in 2014th. Venue has not yet been agreed. Specifically discuss was about alternative forms of resistance to neoliberal capitalism in the world, pointing to examples of organized labor, student and civil rebellion in the states in the region. A worker rebellion in Montenegro spoke Ervina Dabižinović from Anime Kotor, while Lino Veljak, exhibited the revolt of students for free education, which is one of the examples of awakening civic consciousness in Croatia. Particularly interesting was the presentation Metke Roksandić from Slovenian Women's Lobby, which talked about the uprisings in Maribor and Ljubljana, and the response of the citizens of Slovenia to the repulsive robbery and corruption under the patronage of neoliberalism. Among other things, highlighted the need for a stronger connection and mutual support organizations dealing with human rights and women's rights in the region. |
