From the experiences of NGOs dealing with women victims of violence, the representative of "Dominoes," Nina Simunovic, emphasized the need for efficient cooperation of all relevant stakeholders in domestic violence cases, institutions and non-governmental organizations, as precisely defined in the legislative framework and strategies. Along with measures prescribed for perpetrators of violence, it is necessary simultaneously support victims of violence through economic and psychological empowerment, legal counseling, education, informing and working to prevent violence, the continuous sensitization and awareness raising in the community about this problem and the need for overcoming the rejection of traditional hard and patriarchal beliefs about the role, status and rights of women, because in cases of violence are, especially in smaller communities, still very present such as stigmatization of women and support women and children victims of domestic violence. instead to break and leave the cycle of violence. No less important is our work with young people in order to raise awareness of youth on gender equality and prevention of violence.
