Wir gehen davon aus, dass solche Detailinformationen auf dem Markt nicht hinreichend bekannt sind. Daher werden in den meisten Fällen solche Bauteile verlangt, die die RoHS-Richtlinie erfüllen. Als Folge hat sich PEW entschlossen, die als gefährlich eingestuften Substanzen rechtzeitig zu ersetzen. (Dies erfolgt auch in Übereinstimmung mit der Umweltpolitik von Panasonic.) Aufgrund dieser Umweltpolitik erfüllen nun alle Relais von Panasonic die RoHS-Richtlinie. Dies gilt auch für Relais mit AgCdO-Kontakten, da Kontakte, die Cadmium enthalten, derzeit noch vom Verbot der RoHS-Richtlinie ausgenommen sind. Panasonic wird daher neben Cadmium-freien Relais auch Relais mit AgCdO-Kontakten bereitstellen, die auf Kundenwunsch erhältlich sind.
