P.S. Did you know that perhaps the most beautiful lake in Lapland, and indeed the largest lake in Western Lapland – Lake Miekojärvi – is also known as the Pearl of the Arctic Circle? Lake Miekojärvi is affectionately called the “Pearl of the Arctic Circle”, as the Arctic Circle runs through the lake. According to certain legends, the best catches of lake fish occur right on the line of the Arctic Circle.

P.S.: Wussten Sie, dass der wohl schönste und in der Tat größte See in Westlappland – der See Miekojärvi – auch “Perle am Polarkreis” genannt wird, da sich dieser durch den See zieht? Schenkt man den Geschichten Glauben, so macht man die besten Fischfänge an der Polarkreislinie.

P.S. Visste du att Lapplands kanske vackraste och västra Lapplands största sjö Miekojärvi kallas för Polcirkelns pärla? Den fiskrika sjön Miekojärvi har fått sitt smeknamn eftersom den norra polcirkeln korsar sjön. Enligt vissa legender får du de bästa fångsterna just vid polcirkelns linje i sjön.
