L’itinerario si sviluppa su quella che fu la piana abissale del mare primordiale, offrendo un’eccezionale vista sulle antiche isole che oggi conosciamo come i più famosi gruppi montuosi delle Dolomiti di Sesto: la Croda dei Toni, la Punta Tre Scarperi, il Monte Popera.

The Fiscalina Valley is an exceptionally well-preserved example of the ancient Triassic archipelago from which the Dolomites rose. The shapes and arrangement of the landscape we see today reflect those of millions of years ago. The route leads into the "Dolomiti Settentrionali" of the UNESCO Dolomites and runs along what was the abyssal plain of the primordial sea, affording an exceptional view over the ancient islands which are better known today as the most famous mountain chains in the Dolomiti di Sesto: Croda dei Toni, Punta Tre Scarperi and Popera.

Das Fischleintal ist ein außerordentlich gut erhaltenes Relikt des einstigen triassischen Archipels, dem die Dolomiten ihre Entstehung verdanken. In der heutigen Landschaft kann man sehr klar alle Landschaftselemente erkennen, die das Land einst vor Millionen Jahren prägten. Unser Weg führt uns ins Teilgebiet 5 "Nördliche Dolomiten" der Dolomiten UNESCO über die einstige Tiefseeebene und bietet uns einen beeindruckenden Ausblick auf die uralten fossilen Inseln, die heutigen Bergmassive der Sextner Dolomiten: Zwölferkofel/Croda dei Toni, Dreischusterspitze, Monte Popera.
