Karim Hadj Meliani è stato il vincitore assoluto di questa 15 ° edizione della Sahara Marathon, in cui si è imposto grazie ad un finale esplosivo sui suoi connazionali Bentaichi e Bentillib, che avevano dominato la gara per i primi 35 chilometri.

Karim Hadj Meliani was the overall winner of this 15th edition of the SaharaMarathon, thanks to an explosive finale in which he passed his countrymen Bentaichi and Bentillib, who had dominated the race during the first 35 kilometers. The Spanish Manuel Morente, winner of this event in 2009, almost gained the podium and was the first non Algerian runner.

Y en un terreno tan inhóspito, bajo un sol de justicia y con la arena del Sahara como enemiga, los corredores argelinos y saharauis se erigieron en protagonistas dominando las pruebas masculinas y tuvo que ser en categoría femenina donde la delegación internacional obtuviese sus mejores éxitos.Karim Hadj Meliani fue el vencedor absoluto de esta 15ª edición del Sahara Marathon, gracias a un final explosivo en el que se impuso a sus compatriotas Bentaichi y Bentillib, que habían dominado la prueba durante los primeros 35 kilómetros. El español Manuel Morente, ganador de esta prueba en 2009, estuvo a punto de subir al podio y fue el primer corredor no argelino.
