A decorated pattern stone has also been found at Bryn Celli Ddu. The stone was discovered near a ceremonial pit at the back of the chamber. A replica of the stone has been set up at the site.

Castell Coch is only available for a civil ceremony. There are no facilities for a function. For health and safety reasons the maximum number of guests must include the two registrars, the bride and groom, the photographer and any musicians present.

If you would like to get married at Castell Coch you should check that a registrar is available to conduct the ceremony before making a provisional booking. This can be done through the Cardiff Registry Office (telephone 029 2087 1680/4).

Civil wedding or civil partnership ceremonies can take place at the named areas within the venues, with the ceremony conducted by a local authority registrar. Click on the links for more information on each venue.
  Castell Coch  
Mae’n bosibl i Gastell Coch gynnal dwy briodas y dydd gan ddibynnu ar yr amseroedd: un yn y bore ac un yn y prynhawn, a’r rheini’n para 90 munud yr un. Mae hyn yn cynnwys 30 munud ar gyfer paratoi’r ystafell, 30 munud ar gyfer y seremoni a 30 munud i dynnu lluniau’r briodas yn y cwrt a gerddi’r castell.
Castell Coch can potentially accommodate two weddings a day, depending on timings, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, for a maximum of 90 minutes each.  This comprises of 30 minutes for the preparation of the room, 30 minutes for the ceremony and 30 minutes for wedding photography in the courtyard and grounds of the castle. The room will be set up by the custodians, and the layout can be discussed and agreed beforehand.

To coincide with the 'Man Engine' visit to Blaenavon on the 8 of April 2018, Angharad Evans has been appointed as the Community Engagement Project Manager, to work with the local community, creating a community gift that will be presented to the Man Engine at the ceremony, and getting local groups involved in the ceremony and procession itself. Cadw’s Heritage and Arts Manager, Dr. Ffion Reynolds asks her a few questions about what she's been getting up to.

Mae tair rhan o’r llys ar gael ar gyfer eich seremoni, a phob un yn dal hyd at 50 o bobl. Mae’r neuadd fawr ar y llawr gwaelod, ac i fynd yno byddwch yn mynd drwy’r cwrt coblog. Mae’r ddwy ystafell arall ar y llawr cyntaf.
There are three areas within the court that are available for your ceremony. Each can accommodate up to 50 people. The great hall is located at ground level and accessed via the cobbled courtyard. The two other rooms are located on the first-floor level.

Tretower Court in the Brecon Beacons National Park is a restored medieval courtyard house built by Sir Roger Vaughan in the fifteenth century, and provides an exceptionally romantic setting for your civil wedding or partnership ceremony.

Llwyddodd y prosiect hwn, y gweithiodd tîm Dysgu Gydol Oes Cadw mor galed arno, ac sydd wedi gwneud gwahaniaeth i gymuned Treffynnon, i ennill gwobr ‘Gwirfoddolwyr Amgueddfeydd Prydain Marsh’ ar gyfer Cymru, ac aeth Dyffryn Maes Glas, y gwirfoddolwyr a Cadw i’r seremoni ddydd Llun 24 Medi 2018 yn Llundain.
This project, which Cadw Lifelong Learning team put so much into, which has made a difference to the Holywell community, went on to win the ‘British Museum Volunteer Marsh Award’ for the Welsh region, with Greenfield Valley, the Volunteers and Cadw represented at the Ceremony on Monday 24th September 2018 in London.
