Poco a poco nos fuimos internando entre los escarpados acantilados. Respiramos tranquilidad. Coihues, arrayanes, helechos, hojas de nalca, aljabas, ñires y lengas parecían multiplicarse por doquier en cada metro recorrido. Si de trekking se trata, los circuitos cercanos son de una belleza asombrosa. A cada instante el paisaje varía y tanto se atraviesan bosques de pinos altísimos como espaciosas praderas de color verde brillante. Existe un sendero a medida de cada caminante y los más conocidos son los que recorren el bosque de los alerces, el cerro Los Arenales y un mirador natural desde donde se divisan los lagos cercanos, incluso el lago Todos Los Santos y los cerros escarpados que lo rodean.
