This strategy also implies that ‘waiting’ on such a day takes on new significance: in between appointments there is time to ‘relax’. So the public areas in the new building (also in the landscaped atria) will be fitted out with pleasant facilities to sit down, read, have a cup of coffee, search for information on Internet, and so on. During longer waiting periods there may be time for a stroll in one of the surrounding parks or for visiting a nearby museum. The patient will then be warned – well in advance – that he or she is expected at the next appointment in due course (in analogy to the recently introduced PoliFoon).
