On December 7, 2015 at approximately 8:00 p.m. Colchester District RCMP responded to an intrusion alarm at Logan Drilling in Stewiacke. While enroute to the alarm call, a citizen called to report suspicious activity of person attempting to get a vehicle out of the ditch. This incident was occurring nearby to where the alarm call originated. Upon arrival at the scene it was determined that the suspicious vehicle was stolen from Logan Drilling. With the assistance of the Police Dog Service, the area was cordoned-off. A short while later, a male was seen walking on Hwy 2. The man evaded attempts by an officer to speak with him and ran into the woods. A foot chase ensued and officers apprehended the man, Marc Joseph Pellerin.

RCMP were alerted to an altercation between a man and a woman in a vehicle near the 1500 block at approx. 8 p.m. Several people witnessed the incident. The woman got out of the vehicle when it was stopped in traffic, but was forced back into the car by the man. The woman again tried to get out of the car, but the man tried to keep her in the vehicle against her will. Bystanders tried to help the woman get out of the vehicle and when she was halfway out of the car, the man began to move the car and the woman fell to the ground.

The youth had multiple stolen items with him at the time. Police determined that the youth had committed three break and enters and two attempted break and enters in the area.
