Je to trochu jako Svatoplukovy tři pruty. Začali jsme s tím na Silvestra, byla to první z těch performancí, ale pak jsme si řekli, že to vlastně bylo docela dobrý a že to budeme dělat pravidelně celý rok, že to bude takový kalendář.

Je to již přes rok, co jste navštívil Medžugorje kromě jiného i proto, abyste se setkal s poutníky z celého světa, kteří v Medžugorji modlitbou oslavují Silvestra, přechod ze starého do nového roku. Bylo pro mne velikou radostí, že jsem Vás mohl provázet na pouti a prožívat radost, kterou byly naplněny ty dny v Medžugorji.

V modlitbě jsme byli vnořeni do Ježíše skrze Ducha Svatého a nikdo už neměl žádné negativní poznámky. Viděli, že je to pravá modlitba ve které není žádný fanatizmus a ta modlitba přináší radost. Podobné je to při festivalu mládeže a na Silvestra v Medžugorji. Je zde rovnováha.

Luigi Basile: Fr. Jozo and others already went to Korea. They were preaching there, and many pilgrims from Korea started to come to Medjugorje. Some priests, who never came to Medjugorje, thought that there was something fanatical about it, something strange. As we were playing in Korea, we were noticing that music was bringing first peace, and then joy. Music brought a message that is complementary to preaching and to prayer. In prayer, immerged in Jesus through the Holy Spirit, nobody had any negative remark any more. They have seen that this is a serious prayer, without any fanaticism, prayer that brings joy. Something similar is happening during the Youth Festival and for the New Year’s vigil in Medjugorje. There is a balance. In Korea, people do not express much their feelings, we could say that – compared to us – they are rather cold. In prayer and through music, a warmth came that spread on all the faithful.

Luigi Basile: Fra Jozo i drugi svjedoci već su bili u Koreji. Tamo su propovijedali, pa su mnogi hodočasnici počeli dolaziti iz Koreje. Neki svećenici koji nikad nisu bili u Međugorju mislili su da tu ima nekog fanatizma, nečeg čudnog. Dok smo svirali u Koreji, primijetili smo kako glazba donosi najprije mir, a zatim radost. Glazba je donijela poruku koja nadopunjuje propovijedanje i molitvu. U molitvi, uronjeni u Isusa po Duhu Svetom, nitko više nije imao nikakvih negativnih primjedbi. Vidjeli su da je to ozbiljna molitva u kojoj nema nikakvog fanatizma, i koja donosi radost. Slično se događa na Festivalu mladih i na proslavi Nove godine u Međugorju. Postoji ravnoteža. U Koreji, ljudi ne izražavaju mnogo svoje osjećaje, mogli bismo reći da su u poredbi s nama nešto hladniji. U molitvi, preko glazbe, došla je neka toplina koja se proširila na sve vjernike.
