Coupons and their out­stand­ing num­ber are dis­played on user in­ter­face and each user can se­lect a coupon of in­terest and "swake" (re­deem) it. Swaked coupons re­ceive a per­sonal code and get moved to cus­tomer's bas­ket for a lim­ited valid­ity period of time.
To start using SWAKE cust­o­mers simply need to down­load and install the app on their device. Sign-up and regis­tra­tion are not required. Coupons and their outstan­ding number are displayed on user inter­face and each user can select a coupon of inte­rest and "swake" (redeem) it. Swaked coupons receive a personal code and get moved to cust­omer's basket for a limited vali­dity period of time. Not only the sur­vey, but also the per­sonal in­ter­views re­veal that the net­work­ing aspect is one of the most val­ued be­ne­fits of SIA. What has be­come clear out of this re­search is that par­ti­cipants wish for a more or­gan­ized way of net­work­ing and col­lab­or­a­tion after par­ti­cip­a­tion.
Not only the survey, but also the personal inter­views reveal that the networ­king aspect is one of the most valued bene­fits of SIA. What has become clear out of this rese­arch is that parti­ci­pants wish for a more orga­nized way of networ­king and colla­bo­ra­tion after parti­ci­pa­tion. A possible way to imple­ment this is to start a “talent pool” for former parti­ci­pants in order to create a network. Further­more, an alter­na­tive co-wor­king space membership should be offered as an awarded prize, as not ever­yone has access to the HUB. Finally, parti­ci­pants expressed the wish for more media coverage on SIA itself to raise awareness for their projects.

We develop and market a mobile appli­ca­tion for jobsee­kers where they can log in with their social media profile, receive perso­na­lized job sugges­tions and apply with one swipe. Once the company confirms inte­rest in the candi­date's profile, the jobseeker receives a match noti­fi­ca­tion and is invited to complete further exer­cises until being invited to a personal job inter­view. We develop and market a web-­based recruiting tool for recrui­ters where they can easily publish mobi­le-­op­ti­mized jobs. Once published, compa­nies receive pre-ranked candi­dates and can employ a variety of tasks to test and vali­date soft skills and talents before inviting selected jobsee­kers to a personal job inter­view.

We do so by con­duct­ing a study in which we ap­ply two dif­fer­ent meth­ods of data col­lec­tion: (1) tele­phone in­ter­views, the method con­sidered most valid in pre­vi­ous re­search, and (2) per­sonal in­ter­views, which in­volve much higher ef­fort but in­duce bet­ter in­di­vidual re­col­lec­tion.
Recent studies have found that large numbers of consu­mers inno­vate. In our study, we provide a re-e­sti­ma­tion of the figures provided in the extant lite­ra­ture. We do so by conduc­ting a study in which we apply two diffe­rent methods of data collec­tion: (1) tele­phone inter­views, the method considered most valid in previous rese­arch, and (2) personal inter­views, which involve much higher effort but induce better indi­vi­dual recollec­tion. Using tele­phone inter­views, we measured a user-in­no­vator frequency of 10.8% in our sample. In stark contrast, personal follo­w-up inter­views resulted in a frequency of 39.7%, indi­ca­ting a considerable unde­re­sti­ma­tion in extant rese­arch. We then used the correc­tion factor gene­rated to re-e­sti­mate findings on user inno­va­tion frequency in Finland, Japan, Korea, Sweden, the UK, and the US. It appears that user inno­va­tion is indeed a mass pheno­menon that should not be over­looked by poli­cy­ma­kers or firms.

Through 30 in-depth in­ter­views we have ob­served a gen­eral tend­ency that people prefer keep­ing per­sonal prob­lems for them­selves. Al­though they be­come slowly aware that do­ing noth­ing can lead to mental and phys­ical prob­lems in the long run, stig­mata and mental bar­ri­ers are still pre­dom­in­ant in our so­ci­ety.
Through 30 in-depth inter­views we have observed a general tendency that people prefer keeping personal problems for them­selves. Although they become slowly aware that doing nothing can lead to mental and physical problems in the long run, stig­mata and mental barriers are still predo­mi­nant in our society. In more detail, many people face a dilemma: on the one hand, they are aware that they should do some­thing for their mental well­being and that anyone can suffer from a depres­sion or a burnout. On the other hand, people refuse to acknow­ledge that they have "problems" and that they "need help" from an expert. This means they do not consider therapy as they believe therapy is only meant for mentally trou­bled or disa­bled people but not for them­selves. Conse­quently, this brings people back to looking for solu­tions on their own such as coaching or self-help guides. Yet, the sheer amount of books and content to be found nowa­days exhausts people. This over­supply coupled with time cons­traints as well as a lack of under­stan­ding of the topic dissuades people from doing anything even­tually.

The under­lying mega­trend of an aging popu­la­tion bears special chal­lenges to our society. Due to conti­nuous medical progress, the average life expec­tancy is ever rising. People live longer but need to main­tain a certain fitness level to prevent diseases. That leads to rising public and personal cost for health and well-being. Of course, insurance compa­nies are chal­lenged by those changes, too. However, there is only a small number of sports faci­li­ties tailored to the needs of this growing group, compri­sing 31% per cent of our society.https://www.wu.ac.at/ Espe­cially senior citi­zens must over­come high hurdles before they can enjoy the bene­fits of working out: Firstly, when they signup, they have to work out alone, which is inti­mi­da­ting. Secondly, they are afraid that they embar­rass them­selves, because they are not fami­liar with the physical activi­ties and lost strength. Lastly, the lack of routine combined with weak physical status promote inju­ries.

We do so by con­duct­ing a study in which we ap­ply two dif­fer­ent meth­ods of data col­lec­tion: (1) tele­phone in­ter­views, the method con­sidered most valid in pre­vi­ous re­search, and (2) per­sonal in­ter­views, which in­volve much higher ef­fort but in­duce bet­ter in­di­vidual re­col­lec­tion.
Recent studies have found that large numbers of consu­mers inno­vate. In our study, we provide a re-e­sti­ma­tion of the figures provided in the extant lite­ra­ture. We do so by conduc­ting a study in which we apply two diffe­rent methods of data collec­tion: (1) tele­phone inter­views, the method considered most valid in previous rese­arch, and (2) personal inter­views, which involve much higher effort but induce better indi­vi­dual recollec­tion. Using tele­phone inter­views, we measured a user-in­no­vator frequency of 10.8% in our sample. In stark contrast, personal follo­w-up inter­views resulted in a frequency of 39.7%, indi­ca­ting a considerable unde­re­sti­ma­tion in extant rese­arch. We then used the correc­tion factor gene­rated to re-e­sti­mate findings on user inno­va­tion frequency in Finland, Japan, Korea, Sweden, the UK, and the US. It appears that user inno­va­tion is indeed a mass pheno­menon that should not be over­looked by poli­cy­ma­kers or firms.

95 sur­vey re­sponses were col­lec­ted, of which 40 were filled out com­pletely and could be evalu­ated. 4 per­sonal in­ter­views were con­duc­ted. The im­pact of SIA on par­ti­cipants and their pro­jects is un­mis­tak­able.
The sample was clus­tered into SIA work­shop parti­ci­pants, submit­ters of project, fina­lists and winners. Alto­ge­ther 2042 surveys and 19 inter­view request for winners were sent out. 95 survey responses were collected, of which 40 were filled out comple­tely and could be evaluated. 4 personal inter­views were conducted. The impact of SIA on parti­ci­pants and their projects is unmis­t­akable. The survey reveals that 89% of parti­ci­pants feel that SIA increased their under­stan­ding of the concept of social entre­pre­neurship. More­over 74% respond­ents stated that SIA helped them to decide to get active as a social entre­pre­neur. Today 59% of survey parti­ci­pants have an occupa­tion with a social purpose. Almost half of the SIA parti­ci­pants took part in the offered work­shops and 97% of these work­shop parti­ci­pants found it useful and would recom­mend the work­shop parti­ci­pa­tion to others. Concerning SIA’s impact on the projects, it was disco­vered that 74% say that SIA helped them to find an idea or signi­fi­cantly improve an idea for a social project. Although 61% state that they would have started a social project even without SIA, 71% admit that their idea would be less struc­tured and thought through without the parti­ci­pa­tion. As can be seen in the graph below, 55% of the submitted projects are up and running today and 27% are put on hold with the option to be conti­nued in the near future. 84% of the exis­ting projects are regis­tered as a company, of which 39% are in the stage of impact scale/expan­sion. 46% of respond­ents indi­cate that they are still in touch with the people they met through SIA.

Pre­tend­ing that everything that is rel­ev­ant for devel­op­ment can be meas­ured in terms of GDP sug­gests com­modi­fic­a­tion and value com­men­sur­a­tion in the ex­treme. The meas­ure­ment and in­ter­per­sonal com­par­ison of self-re­por­ted hap­pi­ness also poses a broad vari­ety of meth­od­o­lo­gical prob­lems for em­pir­ical re­search.
Besides debates about how to concep­tua­lize deve­lop­ment there is the supple­men­tary ques­tion how to measure it. Deve­lop­ment as GDP growth, or incre­a­sing scores of self-­re­ported happi­ness, are one-­di­men­sional indi­ca­tors. Preten­ding that ever­y­thing that is rele­vant for deve­lop­ment can be measured in terms of GDP suggests commo­di­fi­ca­tion and value commen­sura­tion in the extreme. The measu­re­ment and inter­per­sonal compa­rison of self-­re­ported happi­ness also poses a broad variety of metho­do­lo­gical problems for empi­rical rese­arch. Defi­ci­en­cies of these indi­ca­tors have encou­raged rese­arch about alter­na­tives. Based on the concep­tual work of Sen and Nuss­baumer, the UN employs the three-­di­men­sional ‘Human Deve­lop­ment Index’. The OECD has created a ‘Better Life Index’ consis­ting of 11 comple­men­tary dimen­sions. Such multi-­di­men­sional indi­ca­tors typi­cally apply a simple “more is better” logic in each sepa­rate dimen­sion, and are less explicit about the inter­re­la­ted­ness of diffe­rent dimen­sions.
