It is with great pleasure that we are able to announce that the test version (Beta) of Banana Accounting 9 is made available to all users, so everyone is able to try it out for free until April 30th and return to us with their impressions and comments.
This version is the result of 3 years of work, that took place in close contact with our users, who (through their involvement with the Experimental version), had the opportunity to try out the new features while they were being developed and returned some very valuable advice and comments to us.
Our priority was to allow for a simple transition from previous versions. All you have to do is install the new version and open your accounting file. Version 9 maintains the same method of use and compatibility as previous versions, but includes some important new features.
These are the most significant ones:
Swiss customers will obviously appreciate the features related to the change in VAT, with the new VAT codes and the statements provided by the Federal Tax Administration.
Invoicing, directly from your accounting is now made available as well as graphs showing evolution of financial positions, a register of depreciable assets, a sheet to keep track of working hours. The list of Templates and BananaApps is made available directly in the program, so you may install them with a single click.
There are also many finetunings and improvements, that will make the use even more accessible and allow you to work with a cutting-edge software.
You will have some positive surprises as for the commercial conditions and pricing in a few weeks, so stay tuned!
We planned and coordinated the timing of the release of version 9 to coincide with the important features related to new Swiss VAT regulation. We plan to continue to improve online documentation in 2018 and finetuning of certain program details.
