The seat of a consular post must be located in a cantonal capital (with the exception of the Canton of Ticino where, upon duly-evidenced request, the city of Lugano may also be accepted as seat for a consular post). A cantonal administrative centre is determined by its centre and the municipalities served by the urban public transport network of the cantonal capital, not including inter-city or regional transport systems. Any subsequent change of ad-dress of the seat of a consular post is subject to the prior approval of the FDFA (Protocol). Consular districts may not overlap one another and must coincide with cantonal borders.

Attualmente accoglie alcune tra le società più importanti al mondo nel commercio di materie prime, ma anche numerose tra le più piccole. La Svizzera punta a mantenere e rafforzare la competitività della propria piazza economica impegnandosi al tempo stesso ad alleviare la miseria e la povertà nel mondo, a difendere il rispetto dei diritti dell’uomo e la democrazia e a salvaguardare le risorse naturali. Per raggiungere questi obiettivi il nostro Paese deve condurre una politica interna coerente e impegnarsi con determinazione sul piano internazionale.

In this Forum for global political debate, each of the 193 UN Member States is represented with one vote. The 67th Session of the UN General Assembly opened on 18th September 2012 under the Presidency of Vuk Jeremić of the Republic of Serbia. During the coming week, known as the High-Level week, numerous Heads of State and Government, as well as Ministers, of the UN Member States will be travelling to New York. A core feature of this ministerial week is the General Debate of the UN General Assembly. At this plenary scheduled to open on 25 September, Swiss President Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf will highlight the individual priorities of Switzerland for this year’s UN General Assembly, specifically Switzerland’s commitment to international security, sustainable development, and the strengthening of the UN through pertinent reforms.

In der kommenden Woche, der sogenannten High-Level Woche, reisen zahlreiche Staats- und Regierungschefs, sowie Minister der UNO-Mitgliedstaaten nach New York. Zentraler Bestandteil dieser ministeriellen Woche ist die Generaldebatte der Generalversammlung, an welcher Bundespräsidentin Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf am 25. September auf einzelne Schwerpunkte der Schweiz für die diesjährige UNO-Generalversammlung eingehen wird, namentlich auf das Engagement der Schweiz für die internationale Sicherheit, für die nachhaltige Entwicklung und für die Stärkung der UNO durch Reformen.
