The village is a very old settlement on the edge of a plateau above Idrija and is a very popular place for short Sunday trips. The place offers a magnificent view of the region of Idrija. During the day and at night the old church of Mary Magdalene can be seen from Idrija, too.

Die Sonnenstrahlen scheinen am Morgen ins Idrija-Tal übers Dorf Gore, das über Idrija liegt. Gore, eine sehr alte Siedlung am Rande der Hochebene, bietet sich als ein willkommener, vor allem ein sonntäglicher Ausflugspunkt an, von dem aus man das weite Panorama von Idrija besichtigen kann. Zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit ist das altertümliche Kirchlein der Hl. Maria Magdalena von Idrija aus sehr schön sichtbar.

I raggi di sole splendono di mattina nella conca d'Idrija sopra le Gore nad Idrijo. L'antichissimo abitato al bordo dell'altipoano si offre come meta di gite, soprattuto quelle domenicali, da dove si puo osservare il vasto panorama idriano. Di giorno e di notte e ben visibile da Idrija l'antica chiesetta di Santa Maria Maddalena.
