Participants were H.E. the Executive Secretary of IGAD Mr. Mahboub Maalim, H.E. the Minister of Culture of Djibouti Mr. Aden Hassan Aden, his predecessor H.E. Ali Abdi Farah, the Secretary General of the Djibouti Ministry of Information Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim, the counsellor to H.E. the President of Djibouti Dr. Ismail Wais and the President Prof. Abdel Ghaffer Ahmed of the GHHF Executive Committee and its Executive Director Mme Kwasara Wais, Prof. Christian Roschmann, Director of the KAS Rule of Law Programme for Africa-Subsahara and Prof. Stefan Brüne, KAS Programme Coordinator.

Hieran nahmen der Executive Secretary von IGAD H.E. Mahboub Maalim, der Kulturminister von Djibouti H.E. Aden Hassan Aden, sein Vorgänger H.E. Ali Abdi Farah, der Staatssekretär im Informationsministerium von Djibouti Mohamed Ibrahim, der Berater des Präsidenten von Djibouti Dr. Ismail Wais und der Präsident Prof. Abdel Ghaffer Ahmed des Exekutivkomitees und die Direktorin von GHHF Kwasara Wais teil, sowie von seiten der KAS Prof. Christian Roschmann, Leiter des RSP Afrika-Subsahara und Prof. Stefan Brüne, Projektkoordinator. Besprochen wurde eine Kooperation der Beteiligten bezüglich Border management, insbesondere zwischen Universitäten der IGAD Region. Der Fokus wurde auf das in der IGAD Region besonders wichtige Thema Migration gelegt. Über die Veranstaltung wurde in der Nachrichtensendung des Fernsehens von Djibouti berichtet, sowie auf der Frontseite der führenden Tageszeitungen kommentiert.
