Chattock House, a replacement dwelling constructed by Carreg Construction is located on the northern edge of the Newport Estuary, in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. High levels of competency used for modern and traditional building techniques, site management and attention to detail has resulted in a stunning new home which displays the skills of the multi trade workforce employed by Carreg. The modernistic design is planned beneath an open timber-raftered roof, which as for all joinery on site, was fabricated by the builder in his own workshop. The dwelling which is fully compliant is fronted by full height, sliding glazed screens that, in turn, open onto a timber-decked balcony beneath the over sailing roof. The site is sloping and tight with poor access, which was an additional challenge to the builder.
