Jeff Davies , a founder member of BBC National Chorus of Wales said "When I volunteered to "buddy" with a member of the Forget-me-not Choir I really did not know what to expect! But the rehearsals were amongst the most joyous, emotional, rewarding experiences of my singing career. My buddy (who attended with his lovely wife) couldn’t remember me from one week to next but by the end of each rehearsal we had a great rapport and he remembered every word of the songs we sang…the power of song! It was a great privilege to be part of this Get Creative project!"

JPR Williams , who is a member of a Male Voice Choir said "I think it’s a great thing. As you get older, singing becomes more important. It gives you something to aim for and it’s actually very good for you. I asked them to stand up rather than sit down as you sing better standing up. The only thing you would be able to tell was that the choir members probably couldn’t remember anything yesterday but they can remember me playing – which is a long time ago. We obviously made a huge impression. As one of the members said to me, they almost didn’t recognise me because there was no blood on my face!".

Pete said: "My inspiration comes from nature, daily life, psychedelica, monsters, music and much more. My design for Elephant Parade connects with my ever growing family of characters and creatures – a world I call Monsterism. I’m really looking forward to being part of the Elephant Parade 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed designing and painting my elephant. I find it especially exciting to see the creative designs that the children have come up with as part of the school projects taking place around the UK. The imagination of children never ceases to amaze me."

Gary Owen, the author and playwright, said, "I learnt Welsh over twenty years ago and I wanted to add the additional element to the family dynamic in the play by making the father figure a learner. There was quite a bit of comedy value in this situation and again a lot of this was from my own experiences. Many Welsh speaking children in Wales have parents who do not necessarily speak the language themselves or are learning and I hope they will also come to the play and see something of themselves on stage!"

Julia is a fine artist; her large-scale paintings on aluminium are deceptively simple and elegant. She says: “I am unashamed in my ambition to make beautiful paintings. In my third year at art college in Cheltenham I saw paintings by Jason Martin and was seduced by the way light reflects off the surface of aluminium. Ever since then I have been finding ways to manipulate the paint on metal, pouring to make delicate transparent layers, using terrible rough old brushes for texture and marks." “When I finished Art Foundation in Cardiff I nearly applied for the glass course in Swansea. My proposal is a glass installation that combines drawing and painting of foliage in my garden. I think the soft lines and colours will ‘humanise’ their marble clad interiors. It’s just possible they will think so too!” Julia set up her studio in Cardiff in 2000. Since then she has built an international reputation. Her contemporary paintings have been exhibited worldwide and are in the collections of private & corporate collectors including UBS bank, BP, GlaxoSmithKline, Barclays Bank, Johnson & Johnson.
