The project will provide a range of appropriate and relevant activities to develop skills for the workplace – e.g. Time Management, Communication, Problem Solving, and specific workshops on how to apply for posts, with support. Many of these activities will result in accreditations by working with ‘Agored Cymru’, and we are confidence that this will contribute towards improvements in young people’s self-confidence.  Hand in Hand with the activities and training, and as a result of some activities, ideas for social enterprises will be nurtured and developed when appropriate, in partnership with the young people, and offer work experience, volunteer opportunities, work locations to help them on the road to go from support to employment.

Elusen i bobl ifanc bregus yw’r GISDA, sydd yn darparu cefnogaeth a chyfloed o i bobl ifanc yng Ngwynedd. Un o’r gefnogaeth sydd ar gael yw Grant Cymorth Llaw, grant sydd ar gael i bobl ifanc mewn argyfwng.

The Cymorth Llaw Grant began a couple of years ago, and over the last year 24 young people has received on average £67 each. But the grant is not there for pocket money for the young people but specifically for young people in an emergency. Most of the grant was used for household goods, food, deposit for accommodation and clothing. The group that will be walking the 20miles hopes to raise around £1000.

Pan ddywedodd Osian ar ddydd Llun y byddai’n cael pob un ohonom i wneud perfformiad erbyn diwedd yr wythnos, doeddwn i ddim yn siŵr, ond yn union fel y dywedodd, gwnaethom roi perfformiad da erbyn dydd Gwener. Roedd y perfformiad cyntaf o flaen 12 o bobl. Ers hynny, rydym wedi perfformio bedair gwaith, o flaen mwy na 300 o bobl, ac wedi cael adborth da. Rydym yn mynd i Lundain y mis nesaf a bydd hwnnw’n brofiad gwych, gan mai hwn yw’r tro cyntaf i mi fynd i Lundain. Mae’r theatr fforwm wedi dangos i mi fy mod yn gallu bod yn hyderus o flaen torf fawr. Mae wedi rhoi digon o hyder i mi wneud cais am waith fel troellwr disgiau hefyd.”

“For me Theatre Forum is one of the best things I have ever done. When I first wanted to do it I was so scared of being in front of a live audience, but after we did the performance in Barcelona I loved it so much the buzz I had after it was incredible. The thing that made me love it so much was when members of the audience came up and swapped places with the main character and that was excellent. Also, we only got a few days to practice but when it came together it was incredible. When I got the opportunity to do it again I didn’t hesitate in doing it. I love every minute of it and for me, the Theatre Forum has totally changed me as a person and for that I am grateful.”
