Diploma Supplement Label is a document given to higher education institutions by European Commission that increases the quality and the prestige of higher education institutions and that gives international credibility to those institutions. DS (Diploma Supplement) samples are prepared for the associate degree, undergraduate degree, master and PhD degrees offered at the University, and the approval of the Higher Education Council is received in 2006. Since 2009, all associate degree, undergraduate degree graduates and since 2011 all master degree graduates are given an English DS (Diploma Supplement) without request and for free.

The aim of Turkey's Higher Education Qualifications Framework is to share the works fulfilled in national level about National Qualifications Framework in higher education field and had been undertaken and completed by 2010, with all the internal and external shareholders of higher education for the targets of Lisbon Strategy, published by the European Union in 2000, and of the Bologna Process in which our country was included in 2001 with the member countries' aims of increasing transparency, recognition, dynamism in higher education systems.

In the framework of the regulations set by Higher Education Council of Turkey (YOK), student admission for this undergraduate program is made through a university entrance examination called OSYS. After Turkey’s participation in Bologna Process in 2001, Maltepe University has initiated activities regarding this process in parallel with the decisions carried out by Higher Education Council. The studies are carried out in the academic units to determine ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits of the courses that take place in the curricula of the University and criteria are taken into consideration that are adopted within the scope of Bologna Process in the Strategic Plan that is prepared for years 2006-10.

The admission of students to the programmes is made according to the Student Selection and Placement Centre (OSYM – University entrance exam) within the framework set by the regulations of Higher Education Council (HEC).
