If you look at the new operating area, including the CSSD, one thing is pretty clear: Here, the latest technologies was used. Timo Thimm, Head of Operations, explains: "In the CSSD, too, we have reached our capacity limits in the old premises. While planning the new building, for the majority of products MMM Group was selected as our trusted partner. Die Räume der neuen ZSVA sind ausgesprochen hell und grosszügig. Die Anordnung der Maschinen und Arbeitsplätze ist in einer Art und Weise realisiert worden, dass die Wege, die die OP-Instrumente gehen müssen, absolut klar sind. «Es gibt keine Möglichkeit», meint Zahid Ascic, Bereichsleiter ZSVA, «dass Operations-Instrumente in den OP gelangen könnten, ohne den gesamten Reinigungs- und Sterilisations-Prozess durchlaufen zu haben. Hierfür sorgt ein Erfassungssystem, welches jedes Instrument mittels Barcode erfasst und bei jedem einzelnen Schritt erneut freigeben muss.» Dies garantiert eine enorm hohe Sicherheit für die Patienten, denn auf die gleiche Weise werden auch alle Instrumente auf Vollständigkeit hin geprüft, die aus dem OP herauskommen.
