De hyper-reflectieve museale wereld, de ervaringsarmoede die daarin heerst, zou wel eens omzeild en doorbroken kunnen worden door een hyper-actieve kunst: een kunst die niet per se streeft naar de grootste mate van zichtbaarheid en openbaarheid, die niet gevangen zit in een vaste fysieke en sociale vorm, maar die zichzelf verliest in haar overlevering, die zich in de tijd ontvouwt en voortleeft door de mate waarin ze in het leven uitwaaiert, vergruizelt, versplintert en daardoor oncontroleerbaar, ongrijpbaar en instabiel is als het leven zelf.

Such a work of art evades perception in the traditional sense: its physical manifestations are in fact only a temporary part of the actual work. Within the established culture, this means a shadow existence and the risk of remaining unnoticed. But such works are not aimed at that culture: they go straight through it, creating a context of their own by appropriating existing contexts, places, disciplines and styles, by swallowing them up, destructuring them, undefining their limits, and temporarily bending them to their will.
