Die Guillochierung entsteht von Hand in der hauseigenen Zifferblattmanufaktur in Pforzheim. Dabei werden mit traditionellem Guillochierwerkzeug geometrische Figuren aus feinen Linien in das Ziffernblatt gestochen.

Skeletonizing – the cutting of delicate openings in individual components – has long been a fixture of the repertoire of a master watchmaker. Now Glashütte Original has made use of this technique to implement a fresh, modern design. Finely cut out from within the generous dimensions of the matte grey dial ring are the Panorama Date, moon phase, weekday, month and leap year displays, each accented discreetly with a stepped frame. The central cut-out shifts the centre of attention to the technical aspects of the galvanic grey module cover plate, whose openings reveal the interplay of the calendar discs. An elaborate guilloche decoration adorns the movement's cover plate, its sweeping lines broken only by individual red jewels. The guilloche decoration is crafted by hand in the watchmaker's own dial manufactory in Pforzheim. In the process, traditional guilloche patterning tools are used to incise finely drawn geometric figures in the dial. Depending on how the light falls on the dial, the shimmering pattern takes on a very different appearance.

La découpe centrale met l’accent sur toute la technicité de la plaque de recouvrement grise galvanisée, dont les ouvertures laissent entrevoir l’interaction des disques de quantième. La plaque qui recouvre le mouvement est ornée d’un superbe décor guilloché dont les lignes courbes sont brisées seulement par quelques rubis rouges. Le guillochage a été réalisé à la main au sein de la manufacture de cadrans à Pforzheim. Un outil à guillocher traditionnel permet de tracer sur le cadran de fines lignes composant des figures géométriques. Selon l’incidence de la lumière sur le cadran, le motif ainsi créé brille de différentes manières.

El recorte central desplaza el centro de atención a los aspectos técnicos de la platina de la tapa del módulo de color gris galvanizado, cuyas aberturas revelan la interacción de los discos de calendario. Una elaborada decoración de guilloqueado adorna la platina de la tapa del movimiento, cuyas amplias líneas solo se interrumpen por piedras preciosas rojas individuales. La decoración de guilloqueado está creada a mano en la manufactura de esferas de la casa relojera en Pforzheim. En el proceso, se emplean herramientas de motivos de guilloqueado tradicionales para grabar figuras geométricas finamente dibujadas en la esfera. Según la incidencia de la luz en la esfera, los reflejos crean matices muy distintos en los motivos.
